HADASSAH of Reading, PA.

Founded in 1912, Hadassah is the largest Womens' Organization in the U.S. with over 300,000 members  ( over 300 in Reading ). In the United States, Hadassah promotes health education, social action-advocacy and volunteerism. In Israel, it supports medical care, research, education and agricultural projects. In Reading, Pa., Hadassah spearheads an annual Breast Cancer Research Walk-A-Thon, Mitzvah Day for the local women's shelter, Voting Day projects, meet & greet socials, and programs which enhance and enrich the quality of its local women's lives.
