Welcome to the Lakin Early Education Center at the Jewish Cultural Center of Reading. Our website outlines our approach to early education and provides details about our many classes and programs for infants and children through kindergarten age.
Our primary goal is to help each child develop a positive self-image within a safe, happy and nurturing enviorment. We believe children are individuals with varied interests and personalities, different developmental timetables, and diverse learning styles. Our programs encourage socialization, creative expression, physical activity and intellectual growth. The values of good deeds, caring for one another, and age-appropriate educational goals form the foundation of our school.
In addition to our morning classes, we offer extensive afternoon programs that provide children with more opportunities to play, learn and explore. We are also able to meet the needs of busy parents by offering flexible drop-off and pickup times.
Children of all religious backgrounds are welcome at the JCC. We observe Jewish holidays and traditions, and share these with all the children in our programs. We respect the religious upbringing of all children who attend our school.
We hope you enjoy visiting our website. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like a tour of our school.
